Like the cabin? 🚨 Book now before someone else snags it! 🚴‍♂️ 1. Bike Through Cades Cove Of all the things to do around Gatlinburg, the most popular is a visit to Cades Cove. This beautiful little mountain valley is tucked in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and was once a thriving community. A number of rustic log cabins, cantilever barns, and grist mills are still preserved which gives Cades Cove a quaint air of times past. An 11-mile one-way loop runs through Cades Cove allowing you to tour it by car, bicycle, or on foot. Because Cades Cove is so popular, you can expect there to be lots of traffic during the summer months and in the fall when the leaves are changing color around Gatlinburg. The best way to see Cades Cove is, without a doubt, by bicycle. The Cades Cove loop road allows only bicycles (and foot traffic) before 10:00am on Saturday mornings and Wednesday mornings from May to September. 🚗 2. Drive to Newfound Gap Another popular activity in Gatlinburg is to drive through the national park to Newfound Gap, which is split between Tennessee in North Carolina. While there, you can stand with one foot on each side of the Tennessee-North Carolina state line. The mountain pass sits at an elevation of 5,046 feet so you’ll have fabulous views of the foothills below. The Appalachian Trail also runs right through Newfound Gap, so if you have ever dreamed of hiking part of the AT, now is your opportunity. If you start hiking northeast on the Appalachian Trail you’ll reach Charles Bunion in ~4 miles. Or if you head southwest on the AT for 7.5 miles, you’ll reach Clingman’s Dome, the highest point in the state of Tennessee. ⛰️ 3. See the View from Clingman’s Dome From Newfound Gap you can continue heading up the windy mountain road to Clingman’s Dome. At 6,643 feet, Clingman’s Dome is the highest point in Tennessee and the third highest mountain east of the Mississippi River. From the Clingman’s Dome parking lot, it’s a half-mile walk on a paved trail to the top of the mountain where a long spiraling concrete ramp leads up to an observation deck from which you can enjoy the spectacular views. On a clear day, you can enjoy up to 100 miles of visibility from the top of Clingman’s Dome. The 23-mile drive to Clingman’s Dome from downtown Gatlinburg can take over an hour with traffic so make sure you plan accordingly. There is also limited parking at the top. It’s best to arrive early in the day so you’re not stuck waiting for a parking spot. Clingman’s Dome Winter Road Closure: The final 7-mile stretch of road to Clingman’s Dome is closed from December 1st until March 31st. It may also be closed if there has been recent snowfall or cold temperatures. In the winter, there is significantly more snow at this elevation than there is in Gatlinburg. 🥾 4. Take a Hike Our favorite thing to do in Gatlinburg is to get out in nature and take a hike in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Smokies have over 600 miles of trails offering sweeping panoramic views, cascading waterfalls and more. Some of the best day hikes in the Smoky Mountains include: Laurel Falls (2.6 miles roundtrip): The hike to Laurel Falls is one of the most popular in the park. The entire trail is paved so you’ll find it’s possible even for those with limited mobility. This hike does get crowded so it’s best to do it early in the morning or right before sunset. Grotto Falls (2.8 miles roundtrip): Grotto Falls is a popular hike that is also relatively short and easy and is also on a well-maintained trail. This beautiful hike takes...

We had a fantastic stay! The space was spacious and incredibly family-friendly, with built-in stair gates and provided baby locks that made it easy to relax with our little one. There were plenty of fresh towels, a spotless hot tub, a clean grill, and truly everything you could possibly need for a comfortable visit. The attention to detail and cleanliness really stood out. We’re already looking forward to staying here again the next time we’re in the area!

Our stay at Mira’s cabin was excellent! The house is beautiful and in very good condition. The location is excellent and I would love to come back. I will say the oven was a little bit glitchy and had some trouble preheating, but wasn’t a big deal. Mira also checked in VERY frequently with us, sending several texts every day. It was nice to know that she was ready to tackle any issues. All in all, it was a great stay and an easy 5 stars.

We had the opportunity to stay at Mira's Zen Airbnb from 1/2/25 departing 1/7/25 to celebrate my wife's 50th with our kids/spouses and her brother (7) in the group. Plus, a couple pups. The communication of getting into and out of the property were very easy and seamless. The house is as pictured and very spacious with plenty of room for everyone and privacy when needed and very clean! We spent our time cooking great meals, playing board games and pool while having some drinks and enjoying the beautiful home. The kitchen is WELL stocked to cook elaborate meals and has everything you could possibly think of and then some. PLENTY of everything you can think of! The property is very scenic, and the pups really enjoyed running in the fenced in yard - They had so much fun and is very safe that they could not get out. I would highly recommend Mira's Zen Airbnb...You will not be disappointed!

My family celebrated Christmas here! We had a wonderful time. The home was beautifully decorated, the kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans serving platters and plenty of place sets for the eight of us to all have dinners together. So thankful we could have our pups with us as well and the fenced in yard was a plus! Everything was very clean and plenty of space for all of us. You will not be disappointed staying here!!

This beautiful home is one of my favorite AirBNBs, hands down! The house itself is beautiful and spacious. The 360° wrap-around porch was fully fenced and gated and had rockers in the back - it was the perfect area to lounge with a book or eat our meals. The backyard is fully fenced and so large (the pictures do not do it justice!) - our dog and our 2yo loved running around it! The house came with EVERYTHING you could possibly think to need - from toiletries and paper goods to full sets of silverware and dishes to little things like bag clips, kids plates/utensils/cups, and wine stoppers. All the stairs had built-in baby gates which I really appreciated! And the fact that every bedroom has its own full bath was so nice! This is one place that I would definitely stay at again and recommend to everyone!

Our stay at Mira’s place was truly a relaxing and inviting experience. The serene surroundings and cozy atmosphere made it the perfect getaway. One of the highlights was that it was dog-friendly, which was ideal for our Aussiedoodle named Bourbon. She had a fantastic time exploring the area and enjoying the fresh air. We loved every moment of our stay and can't wait to return.

Miras Country Zen was just as listed and more! We had a family and friends weekend just for us to spend time together without the kids!! It was within 30 minutes or so of everything, 10-15 minutes to rafting and ziplining 3 minutes away from DG market and 20 minutes to Walmart. It was just what we needed to exhale!! Thank you so much Mira for being an outstanding host!

We wanted to find a place that could accommodate getting together with our grown children, their partners and a couple of dogs. This is an absolutely lovely place and perfect for our entire family. There's plenty to do a short drive away - hiking, white water rafting, paddle boarding, kayaking and antiquing and the cabin was comfortable enough so that those that didn't want to join in an activity could relax in style. Everyone had their own space and the general areas were spacious enough for us all to gather together for meals, games and relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped and large enough for multiple chefs. There is a wrap around porch with plenty of spaces for lounging or intimate conversations and the hot tub was wonderful at the end of the day. Mira has decorated the space beautifully and thought of all the little extras that you might need to make you feel truly welcome. We can definitely recommend this property to anyone looking in the area.
